Abstract
Mount Rinjani National Park is one of the important conservation areas in Indonesia that has high biodiversity, including bird diversity. The study aims to identify the species and composition of birds in Mount Rinjani National Park as well as analyze their implications for sustainable conservation strategies. Bird observation is carried out systematically using transect and counting point methods in various habitats ranging from lowland forests to alpine zones. The results showed significant variations in bird diversity and distribution influenced by altitude and habitat type. Several endemic and protected species are found scattered in the region, signaling the importance of protecting natural habitats. These findings underscore the need for integrated conservation efforts that take into account habitat dynamics and threats from human activities. Conservation recommendations include increased patrolling of the area, sustainable ecotourism management, and the involvement of local communities in the conservation of birds and their habitats. Thus, the results of this study are expected to be the basis for the development of bird conservation policies in Mount Rinjani National Park.
