Indonesian Journal of Tropical Biology (IJTB) is a scientific journal that accommodates the results of basic and applied research in the field of tropical biology. The focus of this journal covers various aspects of biology such as ecology, biodiversity, conservation of biological resources, biotechnology, physiology, genetics, zoology, botany, and microbiology, especially those related to tropical ecosystems. IJTB aims to be a scientific communication forum for historians, researchers, and practitioners in developing science and its application to support tropical ecosystems and biological resources. Published manuscripts can be research results and results that have used scientific methodology standards. Therefore, the Indonesian Journal of Tropical Biology (IJTB) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Siti Widhatul Faefa Foundation, which is published three times a year (January-April, May-August, September-December) in online and print versions.

The Indonesian Journal of Tropical Biology (IJTB) is a scientific journal that publishes original research articles, literature reviews, and brief communications in the field of tropical biology. This journal focuses on the exploration, conservation, and development of biological sciences related to biodiversity, ecology, and the tropical environment, particularly in Indonesia and other tropical regions.

The scope of IJTB topics includes, but is not limited to:

• Ethnobiology and Traditional Ecological Knowledge
  Studies documenting and analyzing indigenous and local knowledge related to the use, management, and conservation of tropical biological resources, including ethnobotany, ethnozoology, and traditional ecological practices.
  
  
• Tropical Biodiversity and Systematics
  Research focusing on zoology, botany, mycology, and microbiology of tropical organisms, including taxonomy, systematics, phylogenetics, species discovery, biodiversity inventories, and documentation of tropical biodiversity patterns.
  
  
• Ecology, Conservation, and Ecophysiological Adaptation
  Studies addressing population, community, and ecosystem ecology; conservation of endemic and threatened species; habitat degradation and restoration; and ecophysiological responses and adaptive mechanisms of tropical organisms to environmental stressors such as climate change and pollution.
  
  
• Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry
  Research covering biotechnology applications, molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, and biochemical studies of tropical organisms aimed at sustainable utilization, resource improvement, and biological conservation.

  Studies examining ecosystem processes, functional ecology, ecotoxicology, pollution impacts, bioremediation, ecosystem services, restoration ecology, and sustainable management of tropical natural resources.

  Research integrating landscape ecology, spatial analysis, GIS, remote sensing, and ecological modeling to assess biodiversity patterns, habitat connectivity, species distribution, and biological impacts, vulnerability, and adaptive capacity related to climate change.
  
  
• Applied Tropical Biology and Ecotourism
  Application-oriented research applying biological sciences to ecosystem restoration, environmental impact assessment, biological monitoring, bioindicator development, biodiversity-based ecotourism, and community-based natural resource management in tropical environments.

  Studies focusing on the biology and ecology of coral reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves, and coastal ecosystems, including biodiversity, ecosystem functions, resilience, conservation, and human-induced impacts.

Articles are open to submissions in Indonesian and English, and are intended for academics, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working in tropical and environmental biology. All manuscripts will undergo peer review to ensure their quality and scientific contribution.
